Every file copies to a temp location, gets verified, then swaps in atomically. A failed transfer never clobbers a good backup.
Version history
Turn on versioning per folder and Backup Boi keeps the last 3 copies of anything it overwrites, archived alongside the original.
Exclude patterns
Skips .git, node_modules, .build, DerivedData, and other junk by default — fully toggle-able.
Bandwidth throttle
Cap backup transfer speed anywhere from 1–500 MB/s, so a big sync never chokes the rest of your network.

Backup Boi doesn't have a server, an account system, or an analytics SDK. It copies files directly from your Mac to whatever SMB destination you point it at — a NAS in the closet, another Mac on your LAN, wherever. Nothing passes through us, because there's no "us" in the data path at all.
Every credential lives in the macOS Keychain, locked to this device — never synced to iCloud, never written to a settings file.
